WELCOME TO GREAT ALNE PRIMARY SCHOOL- WE ARE PLEASED TO SEE YOU!

About Great Alne Primary

Who we are

We are a primary school with a delegated budget. This means we are linked directly to the Warwickshire Local Education Authority (LEA) who delegate to the school an annual budgeted figure to run and maintain the school. The governing body is responsible for ensuring that the school's finances are efficiently managed.

At the start of the school year 2007 we had 115 children on roll, organised into four classes.
We enjoy excellent resources, such as the school's many computers, interactive whiteboards and a wide range of reading materials. We are constantly looking to build upon what we have and in this we are helped by a thriving Friends of Great Alne Association.

Our aims

We hope that all our children will come to school because they want to, because they find Great Alne Primary School a happy, stimulating and exciting place to be.

Our aim is to provide an environment where children are cared for, and where they will be treated with respect and fairness. In return we expect the children to respect those with whom they share their school life.

We try to foster partnership between those who comprise our school community: children, parents, staff, governors and friends.

We encourage each child to develop as a whole personality, emotionally, independently and spiritually as well as academically. We firmly believe that we should enable children to fulfil their potential in all areas of school life academically and personally. We endeavour to provide a broad, balanced and relevant curriculm to meet the needs of each child.

  Parents

There is a strong parental involvement in all aspects of the school and we are very proud of it. We have close links with our local pre-school groups and our planning allows prospective children as smooth an entry as possible by offering them open afternoons and workshops in the term before they come to us.

All parents of children at the school are automatically members of the Friends Association. The core committee is elected annually by parents at the Annual General Meeting (AGM) in the Autumn term.
